Every great build starts with a blueprint. Pick a card, build it in your world, take a screenshot, and label it with the fraction or measurement it shows. Bring your screenshots to our next session.
3.NF.A.13.MD.C.73.MD.D.8How to use: Print on cardstock and cut along the lines. Do one card per day. A grown-up can initial the back when the build is done.

Stone & Wood Floor
3.NF.A.1Build a floor that is exactly 8 blocks. Make 3/8 of it stone and 5/8 of it wood planks. Label each part.
You need: 8 blocks: 3 stone, 5 wood

The 4 x 6 Garden
3.MD.C.7Fence a rectangle garden that is 4 blocks wide and 6 blocks long. Count how many blocks of dirt are inside. That number is the area.
You need: Fence posts and dirt

Half-Glass Tower
3.NF.A.1Build a tower 10 blocks tall. Exactly 1/2 of the blocks must be glass. How many is that? Now try 1/5 glass.

Walk the Perimeter
3.MD.D.8Build a 3 by 5 rectangle on the ground. Walk your character all the way around the outside edge and count every step. That is the perimeter.
